About Us

Action Buildings expanded into Columbus, Georgia, with a new location on Beallwood Connector. Jean and Mickey managed the store, and Jean’s son, Mark, later joined the family business. Although the original street and location no longer exist, this expansion became an important part of the company’s history and continued growth.

Action Buildings opened its first location on Hill Avenue in Valdosta, Georgia, beginning a journey built on quality products, dependable service, and strong community relationships. What started as a single local store became the foundation for continued growth, eventually leading to many Action Buildings locations serving customers and communities throughout the region.

Our Main Plant

In 1986, Action Buildings opened its main plant at 312 Brennan Road in Columbus, Georgia—a location that has remained the heart of our operations ever since. Serving as our headquarters, this facility is where our buildings are received, organized, and prepared for delivery, ensuring every customer gets a smooth and reliable experience from start to finish.

For decades, our main plant has played a key role in getting high-quality buildings out to happy customers across Georgia and Alabama, and it continues to be the backbone of our daily operations today.

Between 1989 and 2000, Action Buildings experienced rapid growth across Georgia and Alabama, expanding into Phenix City, multiple locations in Macon and Columbus, as well as Savannah, LaGrange, and Auburn. During this time, we also launched Action TruckStyles and welcomed key team members like Brandon Cantrell.

By 2000, Action Buildings had grown to 9 locations, building a strong foundation for continued expansion and long-term success.

Action Buildings expanded its offerings in 1998 with the launch of Action Truckstyles at 1601 Manchester, bringing customization and accessory solutions to the community. As demand continued to grow, the operation was relocated in 2010 to a larger, more accessible location at 1542 Manchester Expressway in Columbus, GA, allowing us to better serve our customers and continue expanding our capabilities.

From 2015 to 2025, Action Buildings continued its strong growth across the Southeast, expanding into new communities throughout both Georgia and Alabama. In Georgia, we opened locations in Albany, Tifton, Newnan, Byron, Leesburg, McDonough, and Carrollton. In Alabama, we expanded into Montgomery, Fultondale, and Pelham.

During this time, we successfully launched 11 new locations, strengthening our footprint and continuing our commitment to providing high-quality buildings and reliable service to customers across both states.
